The stars aligned for .2 seconds and Max sat down and let me take his picture. Obviously, Toby LOVES the camera so he sat himself down on the step as well. Anyone else have a pup who poses if a camera is pointed in their direction? 😆 PS- Thanks for all the birthday love for our Toby! He had a great day being followed around by two little boys singing Happy Birthday and showering him with extra treats! #carterandtobyplusmax
SEVEN years. I’m not sure how it happened but this pup is seven years old (give or take a few days... you know the whole rescued thing makes it hard to know when his actual birthday is 😉). Birthdays, especially his, are so incredibly bittersweet. I’m so thankful we were able to scoop him up as a puppy which has allowed us to share as many days as possible with him. But really if I had 100 years with him, it would never be enough. Sure he can drive me crazy, leaves marks on the clean windows, sheds an unbelievable amount of fur, scratches our new hardwood, occasionally snatches unattended food... but he is the first to greet me as I come down the stairs or in the door every. single. day., the one who loves my babes so fiercely, the one who kept me company every day I was on bed rest and the one who sleeps next to my bed every night. I love this dog. I’ve always had animals in my life, but I’ve never felt a love/bond like I do with Toby from any animal. I am not sure how we got so incredibly lucky to have him in our lives, but I’m thankful we do. I wish for him years and years (and more years) of love and belly rubs. #happybirthdaytoby #rescuedog
First soccer practice of the season tonight! ⚽️ This was the best photo we could do in the 30 seconds before leaving. Air Bud (Toby) wasn’t invited, so he will wait by the door until Carter gets back. #carterandtoby #lookatmommy #youtootoby
